Author Cynthia Dial has penned a practical how-to book entitled Teach Yourself Travel Writing, which is designed to give advice and guidance to readers "who love to travel and long to write about it." The most recent addition to the British-published Teach Yourself series, Teach Yourself Travel Writing makes its U.S. debut after first hitting London's bookshelves.
"I wrote Teach Yourself Travel Writing to help aspiring wayfarers turn their passion into a profession," says Dial of her book which is distributed in the U.S. by McGraw-Hill.
The San Diego author, who in the course of her travels has visited six of the world's seven continents, based the book on a class she teaches at several Southern California educational venues. She also shares this collection of travel writing wisdom as a guest speaker at the annual Whidbey Island Writers' Conference in the Seattle area.
Dial's enthusiasm for her craft is unmistakable throughout the book's 184 pages. "Each time I fly first class, step on the deck of a cruise ship or board a train to go to work, I congratualate myself on my career choice as a travel writer," concludes the author.
Teach Yourself Travel Writing is available through most major bookstores. The ISBN# is 0-658-01331-9. It is also available on amazon.com and barnesandnoble.com. Additional details on the author and her book can be found at www.travelwritingbycynthiadial.com. Tags:
